The power bar has a higher tensile strength than the Olympic bar, a thicker grip (29 mm) and heavier knurling, than the Olympic bar. The special tempering makes the bar stiffer and the heavy center - knurling are designed to aid stability in the squat. The bar, collars and discs are weight calibrated to conform to IPF rules.
